They ate breakfast.

They said while they were eating their lunch, "Yum".

Yarn Dolls

Since we are reading Little House on the Prairie right now, I decided for art today we would make yarn dolls. Here is our finished product.

Ryan played with his a little rough, and the head started to shrink a little.

Sketching nature

The kiddos love this activity. I know we need to do this more often.

Anna and Ryan working on their masterpieces (we don't normally have a bookshelf sitting outside. I had just picked this one up that afternoon and hadn't brought it into the house. They decided it would be a good place to draw.)

This was the object of their study....a squirrel's nest in the tree.

Anna's portrait of mom

A few weeks ago for art Anna and I took turns drawing portraits of each other. Here is the one she drew of me. I thought she did pretty good. :)
(edited to add) Ok, for your amusement here is the one that I drew of Anna. I am NOT an artist!!! :) So I am a little embarrassed to show this. But maybe it will give you a good laugh! :) Oh and Anna decided to help color in the picture...I think she colored in the lips. I think it would be fun to take art lessons together. I am not good at drawing or painting, but it is something that Anna loves to do, so I think it would be so much fun. Maybe someday...
